Maybe you have never done this before. Maybe you did once, a long time ago, and want to be sure. Either way — this is not complicated, and it is not out of reach tonight.
You give your life to Jesus by turning to Him honestly, believing that He died and rose for you, asking Him to forgive you, and receiving Him as your Lord. You do not have to repair yourself first or earn His acceptance. Here is what that actually looks like, in three simple moves.
The Bible calls this repentance: an honest about-face, not a performance. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out” (Acts 3:19). It is a decision, made once, that you can make right now, wherever you are reading this.
Not believing facts about Jesus the way you believe facts about history — trusting Him personally, the way you would trust someone to catch you. “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
“As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). Receiving is the difference between reading about a gift and actually opening it.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him.”Revelation 3:20
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”2 Corinthians 5:17

That's honest, and it's a fine place to be. Questions are not the opposite of faith — most people who came to trust Jesus had real ones first. Two places to keep looking: what the Bible actually says about coming back to God, and the plain difference between a religious performance and grace.

No. There is no magic sentence. What matters is that you mean it — that you are honestly turning to God and trusting Jesus. A written prayer can help you put words to it, and we have one you can read and sign, but the words are a doorway, not a formula.
Feelings come and go; the decision does not depend on them. Scripture ties salvation to faith and confession, not to an emotional experience (Romans 10:9). Some people feel an immediate weight lift. Others simply know something is now true that was not true before, and the feeling catches up later — or never dramatically at all. Both are normal.
No — it works the other way around. Jesus does not wait for you to qualify. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). You come as you are, and the changing happens after, from the inside, not before as an entry fee.
No. Giving your life to Jesus is a personal decision to trust Him and follow Him — it happens before any church membership, denomination, or religious label. Those things can follow as you grow, but they are not the doorway. He is.

This decision is not about your grip on God — it is about His grip on you. Jesus said of those who follow Him, “neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand” (John 10:28). Doubt and struggle are normal; they do not undo what He has done.
