The Gospel Coalition is not one ministry but a coalition — a network of pastors and churches bound together by shared Foundation Documents rather than a single denomination. A Council of pastors and elders meets annually to keep the organization’s output accountable to that shared confession.
Its output is mostly written: theological essays, book reviews, a widely cited Bible commentary, and courses, aimed at pastors and serious lay readers working through a doctrinal question rather than a first-time seeker.
It functions as a coalition, not a single organization — its own materials describe it as “not a monolith.”
