What “checked” means here

Before ministry, I spent thirty years trading diamonds, and I learned one lesson expensively: a certificate is only worth the counterparty standing behind it. So we tell you plainly what we did and did not do.

I have been an ordained minister since 2000 with the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee), which is listed on this page. I am telling you that so you can weigh it, not because it earns them a place: they were read and written up with the same questions as everyone else, and the same questions would take them off the list.

What we checked

• Every fact on these pages was read off the organisation’s own official pages, not copied from a directory.
• Each entry carries the date we last confirmed it, so you can see how fresh it is.
• Where an organisation does not publish something, we say so instead of guessing.
• Where a claim is easy to misread — an accreditation, a cost — we spell out what it actually means.

What would make us remove an entry

• A statement of faith that departs from the essentials of the Christian faith.
• No named leadership and no real address — an anonymous channel is not enough.
• Money required to receive prayer, healing, or a promise from God.
• Any credible report of harm to children or vulnerable people.

Being listed is free. It is an honour, not a transaction — and we can say no. If you know something about an organisation here that we do not, tell us and we will look again.
