Unto

Clean water, food and emergency aid delivered through Cru’s field teams.

Facts confirmed against their own official pages on 20 August 2026. No one paid for a place here, and we earn nothing if you click.

Unto is the humanitarian arm of Cru, and until a few years ago it was called Global Aid Network, or GAiN. It does not build its own network of offices abroad. It uses the one Cru already has: local Cru staff say what their community needs, and Unto ships it and coaches them through the handing out.

Five things make up almost all of it — clean water, food and agriculture, critical aid such as blankets and tarps and clothing, women’s health, and disaster relief. More than 1.24 million people were served in the last reported year, across more than seventy countries.

The money side is unusual and worth understanding. Unto buys little at retail: it collects donated clothing, food and medical supplies from companies and other charities, which is why it can say that one dollar given moves about four dollars of aid. Cru itself is listed separately in this catalogue, and its Polish branch is Ruch Chrześcijański Mt28 in Warsaw.

Worth knowing

Unto works through Cru’s existing teams instead of building a parallel organisation, which is how it reaches seventy countries with a small staff of its own.
