Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

Billy Graham’s ministry, now led by Franklin Graham — crusades, Decision Magazine, and a free gospel presentation online.

Facts confirmed against their own official pages on 21 August 2026. No one paid for a place here, and we earn nothing if you click.

It began with an unplanned $25,000 in donations after a 1950 Portland crusade. Billy Graham called a business manager named George Wilson to ask what to do with the money, and Wilson filed the incorporation papers in Minnesota that September — the stated purpose was “proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means possible.” The first broadcast, Hour of Decision, went out on radio that same fall.

Franklin Graham has led the association since 2000, and his son Will Graham now preaches many of the crusades — the current “Declaration of Dependence Tour” runs through thirteen American colonies this fall. Decision Magazine keeps publishing, the Rapid Response Team sends trained chaplains into disaster zones, and the free Steps to Peace With God walks a person through the gospel in seven short pages online, no sign-up required.

Worth knowing

Started with an unplanned $25,000 in donations after a single 1950 crusade. Billy Graham went on to preach the gospel in person to an estimated 215 million people in more than 185 countries — more than any other Christian evangelist in history.
