Jesus and Motorcycles

Most ministries wait for people to walk through a door. This one rides to where the bikers already are — the Sturgis rally in South Dakota, Bike Week in Daytona, the roadside and the rally field. The mission is put in three words on their own site: we love, we serve, we share.

It is small on paper and large in one place. The website is three pages and the YouTube channel has fewer than a hundred subscribers — but the riders’ group on Facebook has more than twenty-four thousand members and over a hundred posts a day. That group, open to anyone, is where the ministry actually lives.

Alongside the rally work they run marriage retreats for motorcycle couples, men’s and women’s rides, and practical help — food and clothing for biker families, and a small scholarship they call Gasoline and Beans for riders going on mission.
