It began in 1918 as the Church of God Bible Training School, with one teacher and twelve students. Today it is a university of around 3,680, with more than fifty undergraduate majors across six schools — among them a School of Theology and Ministry.
Unlike several entries on this page, Lee holds full regional accreditation through SACSCOC, which means its degrees transfer and are recognised in the ordinary way. Its motto is “Where Christ is King.”
Around 3,680 students were enrolled in 2023. Its choir performed at the 2013 presidential inauguration.
