Founded in 1971 by theologian R.C. Sproul, Ligonier exists to defend and teach “the holiness of God in all its fullness.” Sproul died in 2017, but the teaching fellowship he built continues through a board of pastors and theologians who studied under him or share his Reformed convictions.
The ministry publishes Tabletalk, a monthly Bible-study magazine; airs the daily Renewing Your Mind broadcast; runs Reformation Bible College in Sanford, Florida; and translates its teaching into more than 20 languages, Polish among them.
Ligonier’s outreach specifically includes military chaplains and prisoners, not only churchgoers with an internet connection.
