If you have no money at all and want real ministry training, this is the place. More than two hundred online courses in Bible, theology, ministry, church planting and chaplaincy — and the teaching itself is free by design, funded by donations.
You pay only for the paperwork: a small fee for a certificate, up to around $4,000 for a full bachelor’s degree. Ordination runs through the Christian Leaders Alliance for a modest fee.
One thing must be said plainly, and we say it because we would want to be told. Their accreditation is not what many people assume.
About the accreditation. Christian Leaders Institute holds candidate status with ABHE, granted in March 2024. Candidacy is a step on the road toward accreditation and is not the same as being accredited — the full process can take up to five years. The school also cites IACBS, which is not recognised by the United States Department of Education. If you are counting on this qualification being accepted by an employer, a denomination, or another school, confirm it with them first, in writing, before you enrol.
