John Piper’s teaching ministry — thousands of free sermons, articles and podcasts built on one idea: God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
Facts confirmed against their own official pages on 4 September 2026. No one paid for a place here, and we earn nothing if you click.
John Piper calls it Christian Hedonism: the conviction that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him, and that the deepest human longing for joy is meant to be met in Him, not suppressed. Every resource on the site exists to make that one truth land — through daily devotionals, podcast Q&A, verse-by-verse Bible study and decades of sermons.
It is not a one-man show anymore. A team of teachers, all committed to the same Affirmation of Faith, writes and records under Piper’s original vision, and the ministry runs almost entirely on donations rather than selling anything.
Piper coined “Christian Hedonism” specifically to argue that pursuing joy in God is not a compromise of holiness but the point of it.

Desiring God does not sponsor or endorse Embassy of the Kingdom, and we are not affiliated with them. We list them because we checked them and would put them in a friend’s hands. If you lead a ministry and would like to be considered, or believe something here should be corrected, write to us — we read every message ourselves.
