TWR — Trans World Radio

Dr. Paul Freed put TWR’s first broadcast on air in 1954. The ministry now describes itself as a global network of partnerships that uses media — radio, satellite, podcasts and phone apps — to carry Scripture into places a visitor cannot easily reach, and into languages that rarely get programming of their own.

For Polish listeners the ministry has a face of its own. Impuls, a Christian association in Wrocław, aired the first Polish TWR programme in October 1994 — recorded at home, with no studio and little equipment — and registered as an association in September 1995. Today it broadcasts on medium wave in the evening and around the clock through its own online player.
